Driving in the dark- Tasmania Road Trip

Image
Very pretty sunset before it turning dark Driving in the dark is a big challenge for our driver and even passenger. Along the road, most of the time we cannot found any others car going to the same direction like us. We are alone on the road. We are alone on the road Driving in the dark is a bit dangerous because some animals begin their activities in the night time. High possibility to see a Kangaroo jumping out and it might cause an accident.  On the way to our holiday park, the road was so dark, we saw some animals standing beside the road. We tried to slow down our car speed and switched on high beam headlamps to provide more bright of light. Even with the GPS guide, some moments we worried GPS instruction is wrong. The estimation arrival time is about 48minutes but we took more than an hour to reached the destination. Hungry but enjoyed our journey! It was about 8.00pm, we are so hungry and we are lost!  GPS showed the holiday park l...

MNV Tasmania Road Trip - Mayfield Beach Conservation Area

Image
We found a great spot to park our big campervan but the parking is a bit difficult because of the narrow rock road. Photo taken at Mayfield Beach  Our excellent driver finally parked in our HERO! We separated 2 teams: 1 team members in charge to set up  portable tables and chairs, another team members will prepare lunch. Making our 1st meal in our campervan! We felt so excited because we are making our 1st meal in our campervan When the vehicle completed stop, we could turn on the gas box. It took us more than 30 minutes to figure out how to use the facilities in kitchen, especially no gas is getting through. We recalled how to turn on the gas supply again and redo all the process to make sure  we follow all the steps. It took us about an hour to prepared our 1st meal! When everything ready, we felt extremely happy to enjoyed our 1st campervan meal with the sounds of waves from the long sandy beach. Our 1st campervan meal  The weather...

Unexpected pleasant surprise on our road trip!

Image
Our road trip is full of pleasant surprise ! On the way driving to BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park, we fall in love with the beautiful sunshine scenery and we parked our car beside the street and went down for a short walk.       After the whole trip, we checked back the location, the beautiful short walk we went was Swansea Beach. We parked our HERO at 7 Franklin Street and took a short walk at Swansea beach. It was a unexpected beautiful walked in the sunshine for this road trip. The winds flow is very cold compared to day time but we crazy for photos shooting because of the amazing scenery. When we left Swansea beach, the sky turned black.  In that moment, only we realized no road lighting. [Swansea beach] By searching ' 7 Franklin Street, Swansea TAS 7190, Australia', you can get there. https://www.google.com/maps/di r//-42.1234218,148.0773177/@- 42.124138,148.0749681,17z Next : What happen next ? Enjoyed our dessert @ lovely Kate Berry Farm

Image
It takes about 15 minutes drive from Mayfield to Kate berry farm.                                                 And there's no admission fee to enter this farm!                                                When we reached there, it almost around 2.30pm.                                         It's a good place to stop after a long drive from Hobart to East Coast .                                          The view from here is stunning, we love the environment so much!       ...

[MNVTravelSharing] Itinerary Sharing- Heading to East Coast- Best Coastal Drive

Image
As our previous post mentioned, this is MNV first road trip, we are extremely excited after we bought the air ticket half year ago. We started to search information regarding this beautiful island- Tasmania. The result we found is there's a lot of place to explore in this beautiful island, and we thought maybe we could take a trip around the island within 4 days. But when we started to consider should we hire a campervan or rent a car, we reconsider the whole itinerary including budget and time. Finally, we decided to rent  6 berth campervan to explore Tasmania island. At first, we cannot imagine how big is the size for 6 berth campervan. But with the online details, we knew that this campervan comes with flexible bed configurations, kitchen, toilet, fridge.. the size is bigger than  4 vehicle car we are driving daily. Honestly, we felt a bit nervous but every booking is fixed! And we felt that our road trip is 'real' when we met our HERO...
